Perhaps we don't know each other, but if you're reading this message today, it's not by chance. Know that if you're here, it's to remind you of an important truth: no matter who you are, what you've experienced, what you've done, or the dark paths you've walked, Jesus desires only one thing—to forgive you.
Maybe right now you're facing difficulties that seem insurmountable, suffering from addictions that plunge you into despair, or leading a life that you know deep down isn't good for you. It might also be that the weight of your mistakes feels too heavy to bear, that you feel alone, lost, or unworthy of being loved. If that's the case, I want to share a message of hope with you.
This message of mercy and forgiveness was revealed by Jesus to Saint Faustina Kowalska in the 1930s. This Polish sister was entrusted with the mission to transmit it to all humanity:
"I desire that the whole world know my mercy; I want to pour out my inconceivable graces upon souls who trust in my mercy." (Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska, p. 270)
"Speak to the world about my mercy." (Diary, 403)
"Today I am sending you with my mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to my merciful heart." (Diary, 526)
Like a person trapped in a well from which they can't escape alone, you may feel imprisoned in the well of your sufferings and mistakes. Yet, a benevolent hand reaches out with the desire to free you: that of Jesus. He invites you to grasp it with confidence, without fear, regardless of the faults you've committed. Here's what He revealed to Saint Faustina about His desire to forgive you:
"Let no soul fear to draw near to me, even though its sins be as scarlet." (Diary, 274)
"Let the weak, sinful soul have no fear to approach me, for even if it had more sins than there are grains of sand on the earth, all would be submerged in the unfathomable abyss of my mercy." (Diary, 376)
"Let the greatest sinners place their trust in my mercy. They have the right before others to trust in the abyss of my mercy. My daughter, write about my mercy for the tormented souls. [...] I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he appeals to my compassion, but I excuse him in my unfathomable and inscrutable mercy." (Diary, 394)
Do you understand, upon reading these words, how much you are loved by God? Jesus asks you to place all your trust in Him, whatever your current life situation:
"Call all souls to trust in the unfathomable abyss of my mercy, for I desire to save them all." (Diary, 402)
"The graces of my mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive." (Diary, 523)
And if you still doubt His love for you and His desire to forgive you because you think your faults are so grave they're unforgivable, Jesus tells you:
"Even if its sins are dark as night, when a sinner turns to my mercy, he gives me the greatest glory and is the honor of my Passion." (Diary, 172)
"The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to my mercy." (Diary, 279)
"I cannot punish even the greatest sinner if he appeals to my compassion, but I excuse him in my unfathomable and inscrutable mercy." (Diary, 394)
"There is no misery that could be a match for my mercy; neither will misery exhaust it [...] I am more generous toward sinners than toward the just. It was for their sake that I came down from heaven... it was for their sake that my blood was spilled. Let them not fear to approach me. They are most in need of my mercy." (Diary, 430)
"My mercy is greater than your misery and that of the entire world. Who has measured my goodness? For you I descended from heaven to earth; for you I allowed myself to be nailed to the cross; for you I permitted my most holy heart to be opened with a lance, thus opening wide the source of mercy for you." (Diary, 491)
I hope you now understand that no evil, however great, can prevent you from receiving God's forgiveness. And if at this very moment, you ask Him for His mercy with full confidence and share this message with those around you, He makes this promise to you:
"To all those who proclaim my great mercy, I will provide protection at the hour of death as my own glory." (Diary, 172)
"Toward souls who have recourse to my mercy and those who glorify and proclaim my great mercy to others, I will act according to my infinite mercy at the hour of their death." (Diary, 172)
"He who trusts in my mercy will not perish, for all his affairs are mine, and his enemies will be shattered at my feet." (Diary, 279)
"The souls that spread the honor of my mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death, I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior." (Diary, 380)
"The soul that trusts in my mercy is the most fortunate, because I myself take care of it." (Diary, 430)
I hope this message has helped you understand the immensity of the love Jesus has for you and how much He wishes to free you from the weight of your past mistakes by forgiving you and offering you a new life.
I pray that His mercy envelops you and that your faith in Him continues to grow. I also pray that your life becomes a testimony to this essential truth: the mercy of Jesus is infinitely greater than all human misery.
May your trust in Jesus never leave you and accompany you throughout your life.
Jesus has asked that the image of His radiant Heart, with the words "Jesus, I trust in You" be venerated and spread throughout the world. This image is a sign of His infinite love.
"Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus, I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and then throughout the world. I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish." (Diary, 47- 48)
The Chaplet of Mercy is a prayer transmitted by Jesus to Saint Faustina, accompanied by the promise of numerous graces for those who invoke His Mercy through it:
"The souls who will recite this chaplet will be enveloped by my mercy during their life and especially at the hour of death." (Diary, 754)
"At the hour of death, I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this chaplet, or if others say it for a dying person, the indulgence is the same." (Diary, 811)
